The All-American Koi Show – Competition Rules and Regulations
- Show Format
- This is an open English-style koi show.
- Each exhibitor will be provided with their own tank(s).
- Tank space is limited and will be assigned at the discretion of show management.
- If the koi owner is not personally attending, the Owner’s Dealer must be designated on the registration form, including full name and phone number, business name and email.
- Registration and Benching Requirements
Registration Agreement
By submitting the official registration form, the exhibitor agrees to comply with all show rules and to provide all required benching information prior to the published deadline.
Entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, or submitted after the deadline may be rejected or disqualified at the discretion of show management and judges.
Online Benching Portal
- An online portal will be provided to submit the size and variety of each koi.
- Detailed instructions will be available within the portal.
- It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to ensure all information is accurate and submitted on time.
Pre-Benching Requirement
- This is a pre-benched show.
- Any koi not properly benched or entered correctly will be disqualified and ineligible for judging.
- Health Requirements
- By registering, exhibitors certify that all koi are healthy and free of disease, parasites, and KHV (Koi Herpes Virus).
- The Show Committee reserves the right to inspect any koi at any time.
- Any koi showing signs of illness, parasites, injury, or poor condition may be refused entry or removed from the show at the discretion of show management and judges.
- Exhibitors are responsible for the health condition of their koi prior to arrival
- Feeding and Handling Rules
- Koi must not be fed for seven (7) days prior to arrival.
- No feeding is allowed during the show.
- Koi may not be handled, moved, or removed from tanks without approval from show management.
- Fish may only be removed at designated release times or with staff authorization.
- Liability Waiver and Risk Assumption
By entering the show, exhibitors acknowledge and agree that:
- They assume all risk for their koi.
- The All-American Koi Show, W. Lim Corporation, event staff, volunteers, sponsors, and venue shall not be held responsible for any loss, injury, illness, stress, or death of koi, or for any damage or loss to personal property.
- This includes, but is not limited to:
- Handling or transport
- Water quality conditions
- Equipment or system failure
- Power outages
- Acts of nature
- Circumstances beyond the control of show management
Participation constitutes full acceptance of this waiver.
Water quality is the sole responsibility of the owner/dealer representing the koi. Each owner/dealer shall have direct and constant contact with our water quality staff to help ensure the safety of your koi. Water treatments will be available through our staff.
- Show Authority
- All decisions made by show management and judges are final.
- Show management reserves the right to interpret and enforce all rules as necessary to ensure the safety of the koi and the smooth operation of the event.
